Time share presentation at minimum, but it is a bigger scam?
I went to a Ducks game in August and entered some raffles.
I "won" 4 round trip airline tickets, a 3 day 2 night hotel stay, and some other minor items.
I have to go to the Atlantic Palace Hotel in Atlantic City to pick up the paperwork. It's clearly a time share presentation, because they want to "show me around" while I'm there.
DH's grandfather doesn't live too far from there and we've been meaning to visit, so we could possibly combine a visit with sitting through their spiel but ONLY if I am going to actually get useful airline tickets as I have zero interest in purchasing a time share.
Thoughts? Do I bother? I said I would think it over and call back.

Time share presentation at minimum, but it is a bigger scam?
I "won" a 3 night hotel stay at one point through a company that was trying to sell super-expensive pots and pans. I went to their presentation (it was about an hour and a half, if i remember correctly) and they did give me the hotel vouchers.
Problem is that to redeem them, I had to first send the voucher off with $100 to someplace... then when I book the hotel, I'd supposedly get a refund. I have no idea if that second part is true - I never redeemed.
So to me it was a complete waste of time.
That said, I've gone to a timeshare presentation and gotten free broadway tickets in the past without any BS.

the scam is usually just the time share sell but everyone i know who has done it said everything else was actually given to them no strings attached (sometimes some payments needed here and there for upgrades or fees that werent included). but yes they got the airfare and the hotel stay for free. just to sit through the speech. some of the people can be really pushy so you just have to be strong and remain a clear firm NO.

Never do those things!!!!!! What they offer is so not worth the hassle. I did one in Orlando. The place was a dump and they tortured us for double the amount of time they said they would.
