Time Machine Time

What do you think your 10 year old self would think of your current self? Do you think the younger version of you would be surprised, happy, disappointed or ... in the person that you have become so far? Why?

Re: Time Machine Time

i think she would be surprised - i wanted to be a veterinarian for a long time and i am definitely not in that field Chat Icon

overall, though, i think she would be pleased, because i am in a great place in my life right now... but i think she might give me a talking-to about my spending habits Chat Icon

I think 10-year old me was fairly simple-minded. I think she'd be thrilled with me just b/c I have the horses I always dreamed of. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Hmm...I think my 10 year old me wouldn't be very surprised by how I am now.

I sure wish I could talk to my 10 year old me though and drop some words of wisdom...

Re: Time Machine Time

i think the 10yo me would think my house is pretty cool, because it has a fireplace and a basement (something foreign to my upbringing in socal).

i think the 10yo me would be happy for me.... mostly because she would simplistically measure my "success" by my outward signs: a nice house, a big car, and our animals.

Re: Time Machine Time

I think that she'd be surprised but secretly kind of excited (because 10 year old me was very, very quiet).

I ended up waaaay better looking than I imagined I would, I have had a way crazy/fun time and I'm working on the career that my chubby pig-tailed 10 year old self would have died for even then. Chat Icon

Re: Time Machine Time

She would have been proud to have be PG, but she thought that this kid would have been her third or fourth - not her first.
