Time length of 2nd C/S...compared to first.

Ok, let's not include the administering of the IV and such, I'm talking from the first incision to the time that they:

a) have the baby out

and then

b) they are all done and wheel you out.

The first time, the baby was out after maybe 15 minutes if I recall correctly? Not sure when they wheeled me out, because I was drugged up.

How long would that be for the 2nd?

It's going to depend on how much scar tissue you have.

I felt like it took them forever to take Tyler out. It was about 45 minutes, and then I felt like it took her a long time to finish. The doctor said it took so much longer because I had a lot of scar tissue.

The dr began the first cut at 2:29 pm and my daughter was born at 2:38. I felt like before I even knew it, she was out and on the table.
I think it took him about 20 minutes or so to stitch me back up and then I was on my way to recovery for another hour. The scheduled c-section was a great experience for me!

The second time around, my DS was born 1 minute faster than my DD
I was out of the OR a lot quicker the second time because the first time, they stitched me up all nice and pretty with dissolvable stitches and the second time, they just stapled me shut.
