Tile Replacement-- one at a time

Is there a kit or something out there that gives you all you need- to fix like one tile? We had one fall out from our shower-- when the guys were installing wallpaper-- I am wondering the easiest way to try to fix this-- after of course we find a replacement tile.

tia!

I'm sure they have something at Home Depot.

Depending upon how your tiles are layed out and thickness of your grout lines, you might have chip out a few tiles that are surrounding the tile you need to remove.

We needed a repair in a bathroom and the tiles were offset... three or four tiles had to be chiiped away for that one tile. You have to just chip away and be very patient. It can be a bit time consuming.

this tile is actually at the edge-- so only tiles below it and on one side...

you might be able to use epoxy - I would call a tile store and ask - or maybe take a digital pic and bring it to a store.

Re: Tile Replacement-- one at a time

Did you get any extra tile when you bought or had it installed? My DH recommends getting extra to have on hand. If not, you will have to try and find the tile and find the closest lot dye to yours and have it ripped out and reinstalled. For the most part, only that tile should have to be fixed (of course, providing it goes ok.)

FM me with any questions.

Re: Tile Replacement-- one at a time

we didn't tile ourselves-- it was here when we moved in-- so no extra tile. It's pretty generic so I don't think we'll have a problem matching it up-- it's at the very tip end of the shower-- so, it's really about gluing a new one or something back in the place where the old tile fell out.
