tile or hardwood?
Currently we have tile throughout condo, carpet in bedrooms. I planned on doing hardwood where the tile is. Do I put hardwood in the bathrooms or tile? Not sure what is usually done. TIA

Re: tile or hardwood?
I think tile in the bathrooms. I don't think I have ever seen hardwood in a bathroom before.

Re: tile or hardwood?
A lot of modern home magazines have hardwood in the bathroom. I considered it for our main bath, still not 100% sure what I want to do. My other two bathrooms have tile though. Just your personal choice.

Re: tile or hardwood?
i would only do tile (JMHO) & i love hardwood! you always have to worry about water damage....i wouldn't take a chance with hardwood warping, etc. and to add, as much as i love hard wood i wouldn't even put it in my kitchen for the same reason...

Re: tile or hardwood?
i have hardwood in the powder room and tile in the full baths. would love wood in the full baths but would worry that they would get ruined by the excess mositure.

Re: tile or hardwood?
I would only put hardwood in bathrooms that don't get foggy when you use the shower/bath. You need to have a good fan system.
I do love the look of hardwood though.

Re: tile or hardwood?
we have 8" white oak in our guest bath. Its a full bath but it doesnt get used everyday. We have tile in our other baths & when we renovate our master this winter we will probably go with marble on the floor because we use it so often.
