thyroid doctor
I am at the end of another failed cycle. I am feeling desperate and feel like I should start to check out other areas.
Years ago, I went to have my thyroid checked out and came back clear. Not sure if me not getting pregnant has anything to do with it but its worth a shot.
Does anyone recommend a thyroid doctor that might deal with infertility?
Thanks!

Re: thyroid doctor
Any reproductive endocrinologist could run a thyroid panel and either treat you themselves or let you know if you need to be sent out for additional tests/treatment. Are you already with an RE? You could just ask them.

Re: thyroid doctor
I think TSH is routinely checked with cd3 bloodwork... At least in my experiences. You have nothing to lose by asking! Good luck!

Re: thyroid doctor
RSofNY does include that in their initial workup because that is how I found out about my thyroid issue. Though doesn't hurt to confirm with them. Do you have any symptoms of thyroid disease? You can look them up online.

Does anyone think there might be anything else that needs to be checked out?

Without more info as to why your cycles failed, it's hard to say. An RE should run full panels on both you and your husband to get a better idea of what the issues are you're facing.

Re: thyroid doctor
There's three pieces of the puzzle...egg, sperm and uterus. Here's what I can think of:
Egg's can only be tested using advances expensive testing. PGD, CCS..not sure which your RE can do but maybe worth asking...though most people opt out of that. How are your hormone levels on day 2/3? Vit d and prolactin level's checked? You already mentioned thyroid. Do you have normal cycles 28-32 days? Do you know if you ovulate/PCOS issues?
Sperm...I'm sure your DH has had an SA but there is also a DNA fragmentation test. Might be worth an ask.
And now the uterus. Have you done an HSG, salinesonogram or Hysteroscopy? Any uterine anomalies? Tubes clear? Immune testing? Did you do the blood clotting panels/Thrombophilia testing? Some do uterine biopsy's there are two tests out there. Not all RE's do them...one is a beta integrin test, its to check to see if you have all the proteins in your uterus, done on CD 24/26 of your cycle. Do you have endo, fibroids, cysts?
