throwinga "celebrating mama" shower
for one of my closest friends.
it's a "shower" that basically focuses more on the mama and her pregnancy, I guess.
no family, just friends, cocktails and stuff like that.
anywho, instead of a wishing well, I want to get her a FABU diaper bag and have indulgent giftsfor the mama but in instead...
can you guys suggest some gifts you'd LOVE to get...thngs to make you feel beautiful...smell nice, great for late nighters...the whole thing.
she is having a traditional shower thrown by her mom. this is a shower-a-la-Ophelia

Things that I got and loved - maternity pj's - g/c to get a prego massage - creams for my stretching belly and boobs - books - photo albums - stuff like that.

My ideas of Great gifts
- preggo massage or for after the baby
- gift certificate to spa/pedi/mani/hairsalon (I wanted to do a pedi/mani before going to the hospital)
- Miracle blanket
- GC to her favorite store
- Offer a night of babysitting for free
- photo album
- thank you cards
- memory box
- memory book
- photo frames.
ETA: a bunch of frozen/ready to eat food for after she returns home. She will love you!!!!

GCs for a massage, hair, nails
a new camera to get ready for baby
GC to shutterfly/kodak/snapfish
bathrobe!
soft fluffy monogrammed towel
basket of goodies for the hospital (grippy socks, nightshirt, candles, snacks, lotion)
Some premade martinis in those little bottles....definitely booze!
GC to her fave sushi restaurant for takeout!

a bunch of girls and I did this for an ex friend.. She made out well.
I made her a hospital bag with nighgowns and pj's and slippes and a bathrobe and I got her a ton of products for the hospital shampoo's soaps lotions chapstick....
Then the rest of the girls chipped in and got her spa day for preggo at Just Calm down in the city...
She was very blessed..
