Thoughts on this fixture?
For SD's room..
I want to have a 'shabby chic' type theme - her bedroom furniture is a bleached oak color - she will have Valspar Watermelon (Accent Wall) and Cottage Rose (Other 3 Walls) - I wanted to put this as her lighting fixture...
Thoughts?
Ideas on how else to make it 'shabby chic'?
TIA (Picture is of Twin Bed - Getting Full)
How About This?! And putting the gingham shades on it...

Re: Thoughts on this fixture?
i think it is really cute but maybe a bit too ornate. not sure your price range or size needed but this chandelier from lowes for $124 is super cute and very shabby chic.
i'll look for some more
$124 crystal chandelier from JCP but probably too much "bling" for a young girl"s room.

Re: Thoughts on this fixture?
you add sleeves and your choice of lampshades. none of the chandeliers that i bought came with shades.

one more option. $129 PB teens. . LOVE it. again, shades are sold separately and of course can be purchased elsewhere.
eta: before purchasing make sure you order the correct width so that the chandelier isn't dwarfed or too oversized for the space.. in case you aren't familiar, add the length of the width of the room and then select a chandelier width close to that total. i.e. room size is 10 x 12 -> 10 + 12 == 22. width of chandelier should be close to 22".

Re: Thoughts on this fixture?
I was going to ask if you can add lamp shades to ones that didnt'have them. I wasn't sure how they would attach.
I found a few people selling really cute lamp shades on Ebay & I was going to suggest changing the shades if you found one you loved but witha plain shade, but now this opens up more options.
Pink Gingham
Cabbage Rose
There are also a bunch at Posh Tots
ETA- I LOVE the PB Teen one that Skew posted. I love that darker pink shade too. Seems like it would go with the watermellon color you are putting on the accent wall.

these are ADORABLE but holy expensive at $28 each. i would replicate the look by purchasing inexpensive white lampshades and wide satin pink ribbon. wrap the ribbon around the shade, knot a bow and secure with fabric glue. viola! a totally dressed chandelier for $28.

damn, just looked at the dimensions of the PB teen chandelier and it is WAY too small at only 14.5 or 16.5". can't tell with the way it is listed which measurement is the height and width. you need something around 21 - 28" w.

I might spend the money (on the shades, not the chandeliers, one was over $1K ) only b/c I can't tie a bow that neatly. They are expensive, but good for ideas.
The Ebay ones are more reasonable. I personally love the cabbage rose, but it depends on which fixture you end up with & what else you put in the room.

I think it's perfect!!!
You can frame the mirror over the dresser with rose wall pockets - they're very shabby chic...
Frame some B&W pics of your daughter with frilly bows in her hair and put them as decor.
My guest room is shabby chic - I got really cute wall hangings at the Shadow Box in North Babylon (really good for shabby chic/victorian accessories)... They're hard to explain...
A shabby chic wall pocket:
Put some pink and white roses in there - flank the mirror...
Also - Christmas Tree Shop in Deer Park has some cute tin vases and such.
