Those who ordered complete sets from JCP....
were you able to pick it up in the store?? Im on the phone with them now and they are telling me the 3 piece set I want can NOT be shipped to the store. It has to be sent to my home and therefore I have to pay their outrageous delivery charge 
Has anyone had their furniture shipped to a store for pick up?
ETA: I think its the set I want. I just tried placing the order with another set and it worked  Thats really not right; Im so mad right now

I had a 3 peice set (Crib, Chest & Dresser) delivered to the JCpenny at the Bayshore mall and picked it up from there. I never heard of such a thing. I have always had my large JCP ordered shipped to the store!? Maybe they can not ship it to a certain store?

I actually just ripped a coupon out of a magazine this morning in the Dr's waiting room for Jcpenney.
It is for 20% online purchase, newborn, infant, toddler apparel, cribs, furniture, bedding and more.

Awesome, I am glad it worked. I was bored in the waiting room and found it in a parenting magazinge today perfect timing for your order . lol
I know there has been a few disaster stories about JCPenny- but there also has been many girls who did get their furniture from there with no problems. So it's just a chance....but I think overall more people were happy than not.

I have heard similiar horror stories about people who have ordered furniture from BRU and BBB too... they always take back the damaged furniture so I wouldn't worry.. its just a pain in the a$$ but fixable.

I really like the set I picked from JCP but I dont like their customer service and their attitude towards damaged furniture. I called them a few times today and specifically told them I have heard from other expectant mothers that they have had damaged furniture delivered to them and because of that reason alone, I have not yet ordered the furniture. They really didnt say anything to reassure me that the furniture wouldnt come damaged and I dont like the fact that even if I open the box right in front of the delivery men, if it is damaged, THEY WONT TAKE IT. I would have to call for a pick up and then have then redeliver. Thats crazy to me and IMO, not worth the risk.
If I knew I would 100% not get damaged furniture, I would have ordered it already. Im not knocking the furniture AT ALL; I think its really beautiful actually and Im really upset its come to this but Im too afraid to take the chance b/c of what Ive heard.
I found another set that I just went to look at with DH. The store is right near my house so this actually works out better for me. I'll order it Friday with my dad. Im just glad this is over b/c I was getting very frustrated.

Im one of the other disaster stories. Although it was a PITA because we had to bring back the one piece that was damaged they did take it back no problem and Im happy with the furniture otherwise.
