those who make home made baby food
1) I am make all of my son's baby food and make a few days at one time and freeze it. I had gotten the baby bullet system and found that the storage container were great to freeze and reheat the food in (i use my philips avent bottle warmer to heat/defrost the food). So the past week I noticed that the food containers are cracking. Called baby bullet and they said that the new user manual says you can no longer freeze the plastic storage container or use it to heat the baby food in! Totally bummed out bc they fit perfectly in the bottle warmer...Ok so now Im going to find something else to freeze them in, but what can I use to defrost/warm it up in when I pop them out? Any suggestions/ideas?? Ill even use hot water if I have to, I just dont know what to use... FYI - I dont use the microwave... 2) He is going to start meats soon...any suggestions on how to make a few days at a time? Or do you just make the food daily?

Re: those who make home made baby food
i freeze portions of fruit and veggies in ice cube trays like these
once frozen, i put them into ziploc baggies and label. to defrost, i throw a cube or two into a take and toss plastic serving dish and put it into the fridge or a cup of hot water.
i tried pureed meats a few times but DS hated them. so i waited until he was old enough for small pieces of fresh meat before i tried again. pureed meat only lasts a day or two in the fridge and a month in the freezer.

Re: those who make home made baby food
I always froze food in the small medela bottles. I have so many of them from when my girls were in the nicu. I never heated them. I would take a few bottles/tubes out of the freezer the night before and let it defrost in the fridge.
I never made meat. I bought it or didnt give it.

I froze them in oxo made these small green containers. That you could heat and freeze. They were at BBB. They were great I still use them to travel with. I would make a few nights of chicken or turkey and freeze them.
Good luck

This exactly! Down to using the take and toss, lol!
Pureed meat was just yucky and grainy. Once DS was better able to eat/chew, we just gave him small pieces of meat/chicken. We actually started with shredded chicken. He's almost 3 now and loves eating steak and chicken. Delaying these 2 foods until he was about 1 year old didn't make him any less interested in eating them.

Re: those who make home made baby food
I make their food and freeze in BRU containers and/or OXO containers. I thaw by leaving them in the fridge, putting them in bowl of hot water, popping them out and putting into a ziplock under hot running water, or heating on stovetop.
I don't puree meats. I have given them teensy tiny tastes of chicken/meat, but I'm planning on waiting until around 9 months so I gave give them shredded pieces.

Re: those who make home made baby food
i started with the kidco (the ones up above in greenish teal) but it wasn't enough. So I moved on to baby cubes.
Got them at BBB and After the first set was a sucess I got another set as they stack. I think I ended up with three sets in total! LOL
Id freeze them then put them in the fridge the day before to 'thaw'. I never really 'heated' any of her foods.
I tried meats but honestly she hated it. She prefered my table food salmon or beef/chicken so we put that off until a little later.
ETA: those cube things were like $10 a pop.

Re: those who make home made baby food
I froze them in these Fresh Baby containers:
I'm pretty sure I bought them on Amazon. Once they were frozen, I transferred the cubes to ziplock bags. I usually defrosted the cubes in a container that I put in warm water.
I never did meats. I was grossed out at the thought of pureed meats. I waited on meat until DS could eat table food.
