Those who live in areas with deer.......
Do they do alot of damage to weeping cherries?
We are looking into landscaping the front and I just LOVE the dwarf weeping cherries!

oh my gosh, the tree sounds so yummy, i would do damage.
mmmm.. cherries.
but, from what i read online, yes, deer like them.
however, if you have the time and patience you can allow it to grow tall and keep pruning so that the buds / flowers will be out of the deers reach.
i also read that woodpeckers like them too.

We had one where I grew up and the deer to this day still go to town on that tree & an apple tree we used to have.
Oddly enough even though they eat the berries they never damage the tree to the extent we needed to replace it. They eat the berries & then onto the next thing.
ETA: The apple tree had to be taken down - they were brutal on that tree.
