Those who EBF...please post your feeding & solid food schedule

I am so confused with this food thing!!! I am still EBF & feeding stage 1 solids twice a day.

When do you move up to stage 2?

When do you add a third meal?

When can I eliminate a milk feeding - he gets fed 5x a day.

Schedule at 6 1/2 months:

6am - BF
9/930 - bottle of BM or BF on weekends
1030/11 - cereal with one fruit
12/1230 - bottle or BF on weekends
330/430 - BF
530/600 - cereal with vegetable
700 - BF

Looking at your schedule, I can't offer much help. I didn't start solids until just after 6 months, and my DD didn't get solids 2x per day until 7 1/2 months. I added a third "meal" after she was 9 months old.

As for moving to Stage 2 those foods are pretty much just as pureed as Stage 1, but the jars are bigger and the variety of foods is greater. I introduced Stage 2 after I had gone through every variety Stage 1.

DS started solids at 6 months. Within a week, he was getting 2 meals per day. I always nursed/gave a bottle 30-60 minutes before a meal. At 7.5 months, he started getting 3 meals per day. Around that time, he dropped down to 4 nursing sessions/bottles per day. He dropped it on his own.

There really isn't much of a difference between stage 1 and 2. Stage 2 is a bigger jar and has different combinations.

Re: Those who EBF...please post your feeding & solid food schedule

We started solids at about 5 months, and at that time we were on 7 feedings a day bc DD always drinks 4 or less oz at a time, so she likes many feedings vs a few. Since then, we started stage 2 foods at about 61/2 months, and were on 2 meals a day. At 7 months, she began to have 3 meals a day -- cereal and fruit for breakfast and dinner and veggies int eh afternoon. At 8 months, We dropped the evening cereal and replaced it with a meat and veggie dinner. Now she is= on 5-6 feedings a day and 3 meals. It sounds like a lot, but she is big (23 lbs) and is a grazer. Hope this helps!
