What's the deal with DH's? Are they allowed to stay for the night or do they have to leave and come back?

They have to leave after 10:30 and they are allowed to come back at 8.
This is unless you pay for a private room, then they are allowed to stay.

Crashing sorry..my best friend jeannie just had her daughter at lij on 1-31 11.....we got there at 4 pm and we were all in waiting room till baby was born at 343 am...in room were her husband and her sister in law and they stayed whole time...after baby was born and cleaned up etc he had to go home and noone was allowed to visit till 1 pm next day. ...
She loved hospital and nurse

Gina, is the waiting room on the same floor or the one in the lobby? Did they let everyone in the room after the baby was born?

Sorry, I'm jumping the gun. From what they showed us on the tour, the waiting room is on the first floor down the hall from the entrance.
If the baby is born overnight, the father can stay. They wouldn't just kick him out.

one in lobby..there is like a million waiting rooms in there..two really good sized ones when u first come in and a huge one with tables in back...
we had so many people there and noone bothered us..we went to diner brought in food changed channels lol..we were there for like 13 hrs lol
we didnt think we would be able to see the baby but everyone ws allowed up 2 at a time and we all got a few minutes with mom and baby
buti had a feeling they were being nice and cause nobody else was there becuase a friend who was there with us had his son born there 5 months ago and he said after his wife had baby at like 130 in morning or something nooone was allowed to go up and see her or the baby so who knows
but i will say they really were sooo great!
