Those that use Grello Pediatrics....

What do you think of this practice? My DS is one and we have been going there since he is born. However, I truly do not like Ciro Grello and the way he speaks to women. I say women because he has a different attitude with my husband.

When I go, I wait the extra time just not to get him. I know when my son reaches a certain age, he will not want a woman Dr.

What I do like about them is if I call, no matter what time, they will give me an appointment right away. And since I work late, them being open until 8pm is really convenient.

Not sure if it is worth changing practices. What/who would you recommend?

A lot of LIF members have recommended West Islip Pediatrics if you want to switch.

If you are not comfortable with the Dr, then by all means, switch. There's no requirement that you have to stay with that same dr for your child's lifetime.

My peds office is on the north shore and they have late evening appointments everyday except Friday, and they get me in on the same day when I call with an issue so there are other options for you.

We go to Grello and I've never had a problem with the way Ciro talks to me. In the past there was a personal situation he had that seemed to interfere, but that has been resolved and I haven't had any issues since.

If you are not comfortable, then by all means switch. Your DS is only one and will be at the doctor many times in the future, if only for well visits and check-ups.

I liked the practice. The only reason we switched was because we moved.
