Those that go to stonybrook obgyn...

We have to make our decision on who will be doing on C-Section in May and are torn, so your opinion would be greatly appreciated!

FYI-I had used midwives for the first pregnancy and then needed a C-section so this is our first time using Porte, Welischar, Lochner, and O'Keefe.

I went to them, welischar was my dr. and I had a scheduled c-section but I went into labor before that and none of them were scheduled to be at the hospital so It was done by a dr from a completely different practice who I'd never met before...

O'keefe was supposed to do mine but I went into labor and Welischar wound up doing it. I had a great experience with her.

I can't say enough amazing things about Dr.Porte. I was induced early due to complications and he made what could've been a scary day an amazing one.

I had a great experience with Lochner with my first, with my second Lochner and Okeefe ended up doing it together which i am hoping will happen again this time with my 3rd because they areboth great...

Those that go to stonybrook obgyn...

Dr O'Keefe did both of my C-sections and will be doing my third as well. Both times, Dr's and nurses would come in to check out the "work of art" by Dr O'keefe and would joke that C-sections were his specialty...

I have a friend who works L&D at Stony brook and while this is not her practice, she has told me numerous times if she ever needed a C-section; that is who she'd want to preform it!

I had great experiences, healed very quickly and barely have a scar!
