Those of you with the rainforest swing...

I have it plugged into the wall and on the fastest mode and it keeps slowing down after a few minutes. Is it defective? Will using batteries make it swing faster?

I don't know about that swing but my Graco swing at home will slow almost all the way day shortly after starting it if a blanket is hanging down off the swing. If I move it back up into the seat, it's fine. Could that be it?

I did have a blanket on her and then took it off to see if that was the problem. I also started it up without her in it and the medium and high speed seem to be the same. Maybe it's defective? DH is going to be thrilled. Maybe we'll just get the ocean aquarium one - it's cheaper anyway.

I just put it on without her in it and noticed what happens. It goes somewhat fast (but not nearly as fast as the ocean wonder one) and then slows down almost to a complete stop after a minute, then starts up again. DD gets fussy when it slows down. So...back to the store we go... So much for the latest and greatest!

If anyone is purchasing this - I know it's their new line. I found someone with the same issue I had. I'm returning it for the older version:

Amazon review: We just finished putting it together and I agree with the other poster who says it doesn't swing much. It hardly goes 3 inches off center, no matter what the speed setting is. I think there must be a manufacturing defect because the swing just doesn't move as much as I remember the one in the store moving. We got ours to swing a little faster on occasion and if you let it warm up long enough, but so far I am disappointed.
