Those of you who did a candy buffet for DC's birthday...a few quesitions

Where did you buy your candy from? Was there a website for bulk?

If you have pictures, please post Chat Icon I'd love to get ideas!

Where did you find jars for cheap?

And what did you use for guests to put the candy in to take home??

TIA!

I just did one for Ethan's Christening. I went to Cosco and also went to a place in NYC called Economy candy (google them) you can purchase candy online or got to their warehouse.

I thought I would get more out of Cosco than I did. I actually got a good deal on Hershey kisses at CVS

Don't waste your time at Target--too expensive

I found these AWESOME clear Paint cans at Michaels.
They were a HUGE hit and the candy was displayed in them and baskets

FYI
I did twizzlers
ring pops
hershey bars
kisses
gum balls
assorted candies
Gummy bears

For the record--this was more expensive to do then I thought it would be

I did tiny gift bags from Oriental Trading co and had one of my printers print stickers to put on them. I found candy scoops at Party City.

I did a candy buffet for my wedding. We got the jars at AC Moore, Michaels and Walmart.

My wedding was in Nov so I bought all the candy after Halloween at Target and Walmart when they went on sale.

I went to the dollar store and bought little gift bags (they were like 5 for $1). I liked them because they had handles for people to hold.

I did all wrapped candy.

I did a candy buffet for my baby shower (all pink/red and white candy) I got 95% of the candy from Economy Candy in the city. The jars I got from AC Moore, Michael's & Crate and Barrel. The scoops & bags I got from Party City.

I did: Hershey Kisses w/ pink wrappers
M&M's
Cotton Candy
Good & Plenty
Gum Balls
Sour drops
lollipops
laffey taffey
rock candy
and I had chocolate covered pretzel sticks w/ pink & white sprinkles made at Gee Wiz
