Those of you that delivered early.......

Were there any signs that you were going to go early? How did you feel at the end of your pregnancy?

I am 34 weeks on Monday and I just don't feel I am going to make it. The last two days have been horrible from my waist down is killing me. Chat Icon

I delivered 4 weeks early, and I really felt pretty bad the weekend before I had my DS. I just felt off, very tired, uncomfortbale and just not right. We were out to dinner and the waitress told me I looked like I was "done" -- and that how I felt.

Re: Those of you that delivered early.......

At 34 weeks I had tremendous pressure in my VJ...and it felt like the baby was going to fall out.Chat Icon I called the Dr in a panic, & she said this was normal but a week or 2 early.

At 35 weeks I began havng erratic BH & had a nice visit to L & D Chat Icon

At 36 weeks I had some leakage (Sorry for the TMI) and another visit to L & D

At 37 weeks I had timeable contractions, although I did not know they were contractions...they felt like heart palpitations. DH started to notice on the 2nd day of the "palpitations that they were rhythmic & began to time them. 3 days later I had my amnio & the Dr could not draw any fluid. He waited about 3 min & then was able to get the fluid & hooked me up to the monitors. I was having contractions every 7 minutes & they were 50 seconds long. I went to L & D to be monitored & they thought I was going to go home, but then my contractions became recognizable as contractions & were off the chart. They went from mild every 7 - 10 minutes for 35 - 50 seconds, to severe crmaping feeling every 3 minutes for 90 seconds. They prepped me for the c-section & DS was born.

The morning of the day DS was born I did not eat anything, which is weird b/c I eat like a horse. I just *knew* something was up & skipped breakfast. All I had that whole day was a bottle of water. I knew I was having a c-section due to my placenta previa, so it was almost like my body knew not to eat before the surgery. I also got up showered & shaved completely that morningChat Icon did full hair & makeup & checked my hospital bag.

I had DS one week early. The way I knew, sorry if TMI, is that I was going to the bathroom peeing and the other thing like every 2-3 hours. I also had contractions the day before my water broke.

My first was 3 weeks early and had no signs at all. My water just broke and that was it!

With my second, I was having period cramps for a few days before I went into labor at 38 weeks.

I delivered at 36 weeks. The week before I could barely walk, everything in my stomach hurt! Then the day before my water broke I thought I had the flu, I was achy, vomiting and couldnt get out of bed. I remember thinking to myself "HOW can this go on for four more weeks"? but it didnt He was ready to come out!

Hang in there.. good luck!
