Thank you I should have included that in my original post! We do not want to spread chemicals on our lawn I was hoping to find a greener solution.
The clovers dont really bother me too much, its the white flowers that come with them that bug me.

I didn't like them at first either, then I got used to them, now I like them. I plan on taking my own advice and aerating the area in fall (I know for a fact the area is compacted) and putting down alfalfa to fertilize.
