Those having #2 close to #1.....nursery bedding question
our nursery is gender neutral (we did it in hopes of eventually having our boy....)
BUT I thought about the fact that Alyson has been staring at pooh and friends for the last 14 months.....
do I move that with her into her big girl room with her new crib and find another set that will match the green paint in the nursery?? Maybe something more boyish?

Oh, I've been thinking about the same thing. We did exactly what you did. Our nursery is neutral and we bought a new crib and are moving her room.
I bought a crib sheet that is identical to hers now, even though it totally will not match. I will introduce her to the new room by 4/1 and if she has some difficulty adjusting, I'll see if moving the bumper to her new crib works--the new baby won't know any different; plus the bumper alone is like $60 and I'm NOT buying another!

Re: Those having #2 close to #1.....nursery bedding question
Sarah got new girly bedding in her new room, and we kept the nursery the same since we didn't know what we were having. When we get Andy a toddler bed I'll get him a new boy set.

Re: Those having #2 close to #1.....nursery bedding question
My older one moved to his own room and we got him all new bedding for his toddler bed. And I bought Lauren all new stuff, even though what we had from Andrew was gender neutral. SO now I have a box of the gender neutral baby bedding sitting in a box downstairs. It is now a discontinued line, so I can't even sell it for people looking for extras.

Mine aren't as close together...but Kevin is moving to a big boy room and getting all new furniture and bedding. The new baby will remain with Kevin's old furniture, crib, bedding, etc. The nursery is pretty much staying the same less some decorative pieces/frames/pictures.

Re: Those having #2 close to #1.....nursery bedding question
We did Gianna's room winnie the pooh too/gender neutral.
I was going to get Gianna a whole new set of sheets/ruffle etc, but she's kinda attached to her winnie the pooh bumper, so #2 will be getting the new stuff.
They are sharing a room though.

Re: Those having #2 close to #1.....nursery bedding question
My children are further apart in age but I did move Molly to a big girl room and made it girly. Then I turned the nursery into a boy's room for Jason. I did not reuse the same bedding since Molly had a very girly set.

Re: Those having #2 close to #1.....nursery bedding question
I knew I was having a boy the first time so everything was boy related. I did need to get a new bumper for him because his didn't hold up to well so I got him a new one recently so he has that. For DD she is getting a whole new nursey.
