Re: Those expecting 2nd
It was Mother's Day when we decided to tell the family. I signed the cards with all of our names and also added, "Baby to be, coming at Christmas!" All of the moms (mom, SM and MIL) cried... even though they were pretty shocked since we had a 7 month old.
ETA: With DD#1, we wrote it on a cake that we brought to Easter dinner.

Re: Those expecting 2nd
We told our families on Easter. We changed DD out of her Easter dress and put her in a Big Sister shirt. I liked seeing how long it took people to read her shirt.

Well I posted on here that I was pg but hadn't told family yet. One of my family members saw my post and leaked the news to my entire family on July 4th. I didn't really have to tell anyone but one of my sisters and my dad.

On Easter I gave my niece and nephew an easter egg with a sign inside saying - your going to have a new cousin for your birthday. the other one I said Colin is going to be a big brother. It was so cute to see their reactions.

Re: Those expecting 2nd
We had my parents, MIL and DH's grandmother over for Mother's Day.
I got DS a shirt that said "Does this shirt make me look like a big brother?"
Once everyone got here, his first shirt was dirty, so I said I was bringing him to change his shirt. When we came out, he was wearing the big brother shirt. MIL said she wanted to read it and proceeded to read it out loud. It was so funny because it took a minute for everyone to realize what was going on... but when they did, they were VERY excited!
I also had picture frames for the moms that had 3 pictures... I put in one of DS alone, one of DS with each of the moms and in one I printed out a picture that said "Grandchild #2 coming December 9, 2009".
