Those diagnosed with GD...
This is my biggest fear other than birth!! I have my dr apt tomorrow and then next week will have the one hour test.
Did anyone who was diagnosed with GD have any symptoms? I am so worried about this!

Re: Those diagnosed with GD...
Nope I didn't have any symptoms and was shocked when I failed the one hour and then the three hour (failed the three hour by 2 points ).
My really good friend is on her second pregnancy and was also just diagnosed with GD and she didn't have it with her first....so weird. I asked her and she didn't have symptoms either.
The thing is apparently the symptoms are similar to pregnancy symptoms: frequent urination, thirst, etc.
BTW GD isn't that scary. I have to check my sugar 4 times a day and monitor the amount of carbs I eat but that's all. I have managed to control it with a diet change.

Re: Those diagnosed with GD...
no symptoms.
I was insulin dependent. It was a bit overwhelming with the diet, blood testing constantly, and insulin shots. At the time it was very annoying and I was upset about it. DD is now two, and looking back, it wasn't that big of a deal. If they told me to stand on my head for nine months so my baby would be healthy, I would.
There is one big benefit of having GD- the diet is super healthy, kept me fit, and I only gained about 17 pounds and dropped it right away.
Feel free to FM with any Qs.
