Thomas Wood Train Set vs. Melissa& Doug
Just wondering if anyone can offer reviews/feedback on either of these two items.
Having such a hard time picking for my DS and less than 2 weeks to go!

they both work interchangeably...we have both and use both!
My DS is obsessed with Thomas and can identify with actual characters from the show and books...so it is fun to see that they play with the characters on the tracks...so if you want to get one I suggest Thomas as a starter and then add tracks with melissa and doug..bec they are cheaper! HAHA!

I was going to get the Melissa & Doug one since it's bigger and cheaper and add pieces of Thomas like the accessories, bridges etc. Will bridges and accessories from Thomas work with Melissa and Doug?

Honestly I can't imagine you going wrong with either bc they are both great brands. We ended up startign with Thomas and even adding on with Thomas bc my son loves the characters and the quality is great. You can find great sales on the thomas stuff if you search around!

YUP..so far all accessories with both work with both sets! =)
