This Weekend Has STUNK! (updated with doc appointment info)
you may remember Wednesday, 3:45 AM Em woke up vomiting in her sleep (thank God for co-sleeping thread).
it has NOT STOPPED YET......and she's having more diahhrea than I can keep up with (changing her diaper almost every hour).
even better - I GOT IT TOO.... i haven't thrown up since Saturday AM, but it's horrible.
i have spent more time this weekend crying for her, because i KNOW the pain she is in...her stomach makes the same noises as mine, her booty hurts just as badly as mine, and other similarities....it's a nightmare.
we're going to the doctor tomorrow for a check that she's not dehydrating, and the doc said he may give us something for the throw up, but that he can't give us anything for the poo....that it HAS to get out of her system....
my heart just breaks for her...i know what it's doing to me - that it's doing it to her to just makes me want to die...

DOC UPDATE: he gave us a suppository for the vomiting (but we're NOT giving it to her unless she vomits today & she hasn't since 11 last night)....and said that we're doing a great job. her booty looks great (i will have some product raves later)....and she's overall a happy girl.... she will be on Pedialyte until tomorrow & then we'll be watering down her formula...
she's 30 inches long and is 19 pounds...
(and i was okayed to take immodium - thank GOD).

Jess, ask the doctor about giving her acidophilus. It's a probiotic. It helped both my kids when they had it.

I am so sorry Jess! When you speak with the doctor...maybe bring up the conversation about giving Em a probiotic to help restore the good bacteria that has been lost...it should help on her road to recovery.
