This seems to always happen wheni try a new place for nails, hair etc.. anyone else..

I usually go to the same place for nails and the same place ( different from the nail place) for my eyebrow threading. Ocassionally ill go somewhere else say if i am with a friend an she is getting hers done or if i am near my moms and need them done. etc etc
Today i went to a different place for my eyebrow threading and without fail the girl says.. "where do you go they did a terrible job?"

This always happens. Now it can happen regardless if the last time i went to get nails or eyebrows done was my regular place or some other random place.

Why do these people feel the need to comment negatively on others people's work? you think its to try and get me to come back to them? If this happened once and it was the same place i had been previously to this happeneding i can see but it happens no matter where i go. Anyone else?

I ABSOLUTELY hate that! I always feel so self conscious after they say that.

That is actually why I stopped going to hair salons. I have an awesome girl that comes to my house. I wash and dry my own hair and she cuts it for $10.

But tomorrow I am going to a salon to get my hair blown out and WATCH, a comment will be made.

I wish I could say "well *I* happen to love the way my hair/eyebrows/nails look" but of course I just agree with them like an idiot.

I know what you mean, I've been in that situation several times but I was pleasantly surprised when I went to a Miami salon last year to have my hair done for a wedding and the stylist said, "You just had your hair cut, huh? They did an incredible job, its a really good cut."

I almost fell off my chair! Finally a stylist that wasn't trying to stab someone else in the back for their work!

I have gotten this a few times too. I guess they are just trying to make themselves look better, but it does get annoying.
