this might be a stupid question re: what can/cannot go in the dishwasher
i have never used a dishwasher b4.
our new house has one.
can you wash calphalon pots and pans in there or are they handwash only?

I hand wash all my pots. You can look up the type of pots you have on the Calphalon site & read the care instructions for them.

Anything that is non stick should not be put into the dishwasher.

no china or crystal in the dishwasher
I put my stainless steel pots in the dishwasher but not the non-stick ones

I always wash my Calphalon pots/pans by hand. Similar to PP, the only pots I throw in the dishwasher are stainless steel.

Lenox china can go in the dishwasher. My pattern says 'dishwasher' safe on the bottom of the dish. Not sure about crystal.

Even still, I wouldn't put any china in the dishwasher that has a gold or platinum band on it. It'll still wear off over time. I've seen it happen.
I hand wash all pots. Once I have a dishwasher again, this will still be my rule.

I wouldnt trust that...china is purous as is crystal and putting it in the dishwasher can compromise the dish itself
better to be safe than sorry
