This infuriates me!

I was out running errands at lunch before and I'm at a red light and glance over at the car next to me and there are 3 kids in the backseat ranging in age from I'd say 3 to maybe 6 or 7 and not only are NONE of them in any kind of car seat or booster, but they don't even have SEATBELTS on.

They were climbing all over the back seat, hanging out the open back windows, climbing towards the front to give stuff to the asshole parents, etc.

They were small. The youngest looked about 3.

I cannot believe the blatant stupidity and child abuse that goes on. I was PRAYING for a cop to see this.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I wonder if you would be able to call the cops on this? Not YOU but anybody who saw it.

I guess but I believe the cop would have to witness it to pull them over.
It would be all about timing.

I am with you people are so cluecless when it comes to car safety.

At daycare as I was puling in someone picked up either their kids/grandkids and put 2 of them in the front seat of a work type fan. Bot were under 5. So no carseat and they are sharing the front seat. STUPID STUPID people. Get an fing clue!! I told daycare that they need to in one of their news letter do a car seat safety article cause not only was that stupid but illegal.

On my DD cheer teams I saw moms putting their 3 and 5 year olds in the backseat no car seats Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon how do you not know how unsafe that is???Chat Icon Chat Icon

was just in FL at a red light saw a toddler sitting on the lap of someone in the front seat!!! I took a picture in case people didn't believe me!!! How dumb really can you be!!

I've witnessed this too, and it actually gave me a pit in my stomach. There is no situation where this is ok. I was behind a car and I just saw the kids like hanging over the front seats, bouncing around. I kept thinking about it for the rest of the day because it made me so upset.

Jeez, even in an emergency situation where someone with no car seats Has to pick up your kids, how do you not have them buckled?

This infuriates me!

I recently witnessed something like this. I was coming towards a truck and i thought they had their dog hanging out the back window from a distance. As we passed each other at a stop sign i realized it was a young girl, probably around 3/4. I screamed she needs a car seat azzhole as i drove by.

Re: This infuriates me!

This would bother me too. It kills me to see so many kids under the age of 10 sitting in the front seat. Many of my neighbors kids sit in the front seat, and they are are only in like 4th grade, and they are small kids.

Somehow I doubt it. Besides which, children that small...especially the youngest who was about 3 should NEVER be in just a seat belt. It could be deadly in a crash

This infuriates me!

Nothing makes me angrier than inappropriately buckles/secure kids.
I called the cops on someone once, not sure if they got caught. I was parked next to them and looked down into the car from my SUV (DH went into the store)
"mom" or babysitter or "grandma" driver lady went into the liquor store after my husband. A little girl, maybe 3 or 4 tops was in the backseat alone, hanging out the window like heeeyyyyyyy! And there was NO CAR SEAT even in the car, never mind being buckled in etc. Driver lady lit a cigarette when she got into the car, and didn't even look at the girl in the back.... just took off driving! Chat Icon I called the cops faster than you can say 911
You know what else pisses me off? Parents who put their kids in boosters before it's time. Because its "Convenient". Oh boo effing hoo, cry me a river. Car accidents are the leading cause of death in children under 13. Chat Icon

This infuriates me!

I saw a car the other day with a baby who had to be 9-12 months old, in a rear facing carseat, not buckled in at all. The kid was standing, facing the front and the mom was talking to him. We were at a light on Middle Country Rd. I was dumbfounded! when the light changed she drove away like no biggie!

Yep. This is a HUGE pet peeve of mind.
You wont' take a god damnn sip of wine or eat a fuking ham sandwich when pregnant yet when the baby is born, oh well, it's easier to have them in a booster at 3 years old. Eff it.

I never understood that.

Or the other "excuse", "oh all their friends are in boosters and they feel embarrassed."
Guess what, safety trumps the embarrassment of a 5 year old.
If they wanted to smoke in junior high school because all their friends were doing it and they were embarrassed that they didn't smoke too, would you be ok with that?

I called 911 for a toddler standing on a backseat getting onto the LIE. They stayed on the phone with me until someone was dispatched to try to find them so they still had a specific location. I am a cop caller though.

Sweet fukcballs this lady hit the trifecta of shit.ty parenting! No carseat, left the kid in the car alone, AND lit up before driving away?! She should win an award.

This infuriates me!

I went to Target today and there was a lady driving in the parking lot with a maybe 14-16 months little girl in the front seat! She parked near me when I was packing my car and saw me staring so she moved

Someone I know had to take an Uber home, and so she held her newborn baby (a few weeks old) in her arms bc the car didn't come with a car seat. Crappy situation to be stuck in but I can't imagine being ok with doing that Chat Icon
