this confirms why I resigned

so my boss has been yelling at me the last few weeks b/c I was suppose to get 25 samples of 2 products and they have not been sent from China yet

so I have been trying to get an answer out of ou China office for the past week

I finally got it today- and the email says my boss told them to wait until production started

I printed it out- along with the emails with him yelling at me- it's going in my exit interview file

he is copied on the email- I hope he feels like the jerk that he is

I feel victorious!

something similar happened to me once. my boss was actually a pretty nice guy most of the time but this one particular day he just did NOT believe me when it came to something. i had told the travel agent we used to make biz trips to book an SUV- the TA took it upon himself to IGNORE that and price out a car- so, i took all the pricing to my boss and my boss said "that is for an SUV??" and i took a look and said "oh that's very inexpensive- let me double check, maybe he gave me a price for a car instead" so he goes "well, i told you SUV" and i said "i know, i DID ask for an SUV but the TA didn't do it- i don't know why" and he basically, in other words, didn't believe that I really asked and the TA ignored me- he thought I did NOT ask and that the TA made no mistake.

WELL, take it to the emails! My boss then asked if I had an email to prove it! He REALLY didn't believe me- and because I have SO many emails I get all confused so i delete a lot of unnecessary ones- Well, I happened to have deleted this one. I was PIZZED! So, I called the TA and asked him if he still had it saved, did not say why, and he did and sent it to me! This was after I told my boss that I didn't have it b/c I didn't think I could get it and he was CERTAIN that I was the one who was wrong and dishonest!

So, the TA sent it back- I printed it out and it felt SO good to be like BAM! and show him that email. He never actually said sorry but did say "oh OK- so then you were correct, you did ask and he ignored the request". I was like yeah how about a sorry!!

But it felt so good!!!!

For this reason alone I document everything. I email myself these things so when its time to throw fists, I have back up.

Good for you! One of the first things I learned when I started working was to document everything no matter how insignificant you may think it is. I still do this. When I have a dispute with any company, I can go back, pull out the copy and show them. Stops them in their tracks every time.

Ok, so last week I was doing consulting for my old job and I see an e-mali that says

"such-and-such was not done because Katie left it in my lap when she quit..."
