10 weeks for a schedule for me.

It definitely gets easier. You're only at week one when he's screaming his head off & you can't figure out his cries yet.

One thing I noticed about having 2 children is how much easier it is with only 1 child. It still amazes me that I thought having 1 was tough at all.Chat Icon

Re: This 2 under 2 thing...

It does get easier....I went back to work pretty early after DS#2 (he was 10 weeks). Around 6 weeks, things really started to turn around and I was able to get a schedule. Also, sending DS#1 to daycare or to my MILs a few days a week really helped.

When DD2 came, it took about 8 weeks before she was on a schedule and about 3 months before I felt comfortable handling them both alone.
Now at 11 months and 2 years - It's like clock work.

Chat Icon 's - It gets easier!

It sure is a 3 ring circus at first!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

For me, adding another one into the mix was nowhere near as stressful as adding the first...but just like the first, it takes some time to adjust. I would say once the baby is on a schedule--for us around 3 mos.--it got a lot easier. It's like second nature for me now (2.5 years and 10.5 mos.) but, I will say, I'm still exhausted by the end of the day!! Chat Icon

Hang in there!!!!

I agree. For me it was much easier for the first 3-4 months. But NOW at 3.5 yo and 19 months, that's when the real fun begins! Chat Icon

Hang in there. Just remember to take time out to have YOU time. That is essential! Chat Icon

We are at 4 months and 2 years and it definitely got more routine around 2 months I would say... No walk in the park but it gets better everyday!

Re: This 2 under 2 thing...

The early months were easier than they are now... one is two years and the other is 7 months and is crawling/pulling himself up onto EVERYTHINGChat Icon I can't leave either alone for a second. AND now they both compete for my attention.
