why are men so DUUUMMMBBB

DS is going through separation anxiety at almost 6 months.

WHY oh WHY does DH have to call his attention every time he is relaxed and is playing on his own. He is quiet, in his rocker and DH walks in and yells (YELLS) hiiiiiiii jack, its halloween tiiiiiiiiiiiiimmmmmmmmeeeeeeee.

of course DS looks up and realizes no one is holding him and starts crying

He does this constantly. i cant handle it. i tell him calmly and rationally, do not call attention to yourself unless you want to hold him (of course we want to hold him but there is only so much holding that can go on)

why doesnt it sink in. how do i make him understand this?
