Thick hair
Okay I need to vent. I have super ridiculously thick hair. I just broke 2 hair things trying to put my hair up. I hate it....especially in the summer time. Is there any way to get it thinned out somehow?
(sorry if this is a dumb question)
Thanks

Re: Thick hair
I have very very very thick hair as well. I do get JHS done, which seems to have thinned my hair out...only cause it's so pin strait. But without the JHS , you can ask your hair person to literally thin your hair out. They will layers out basically...
My advise...deal with is cause thick hair is really nice and people wish they had hair like ours (look at it this way...we will always have a nice head of hair...even when we are 80 )

You can send some to me! i am always complaining that my hair is too thin and i don't have enough...
It is equally as frustrating to deal with.
I guess we need a happy medium!

Re: Thick hair
I also have very thick hair...I go for trims every 6 weeks or so...in the summer months I have my stylist thin my hair out with a razor...its amazing how much lighter it feels - unfortunately my hair grows back so fast I don't get to enjoy it for that long - but at least its tolerable during the hot months...

Re: Thick hair
I find using a flat iron helps to tame my thick hair. Makes it look a lot less bulky.

Re: Thick hair
I have the same issue, my hair is always up in a bun in the summer or I'd die of heat.

Re: Thick hair
I can totally relate... the sound of a hair clip's teeth snapping off! Most places can use thinning shears (looks like a zipper on the shears of a scissor) to get rid of some bulk... ask next time you get a haircut
