Theranatal?
My doc said he doesn't trust OTC prenatals and wants me to take Theranatal, which is $70 online (it's not RX), but I used to work for a vitamin company and I just don't see the difference.
Any insight? What was your docs take on prenatals?

Theranatal?
my Rx prenatals were $70 also - i refused to buy them after that first month. I now take the OTC ones from Target which cost $20 for a three month supply!
IMO, Rx and OTC are both equally good.

No, they're not RX so they're just $70

Theranatal?
Why wouldn't he trust them? It's not like OTC aren't regulated ingredients. I take rainbow light prenatals which are OTC and have a lot more in them then other OTC and rx vitamins. I also take a separate DHA (cvs version of Expecta) and my Dr is more then fine with it. I wouldn't pay $70 for rx unless I was given a very good reason why they were better then OTC (and doing my own research)

Re: Theranatal?
The doctor I was seeing in the beginning of my pregnancy suggested either Rx or Theranatal, and I chose Theranatal. The doctor gave me a discount code so it came to $55 for a 3 months supply, which I thought would just be the price for the first shipment, but actually it's ended up being that price for all 3 shipments. So I figure it's been a little more than other OTCs but not too bad. My new doctor who I switched to about half way through my pregnancy has a more relaxed attitude about prenantals and said as long as I"m taking something it should be fine. But I chose to just stick with the Theranatals since I only had one more shipment left anyway and I've been happy with them.
