"Themed Couple Gifts"
My family has decided that this year we'll all get each couple a "theme gift". But I'm drawing a blank. I'm thinking of making my sister and her DH a wine and cheese basket (with wine glasses, wine, cheese, crackers, bottle stoppers etc) as I know they love wine...but I am losing my creativity there. Any suggestions? I have 3 more couples to buy for and can't think of things they are really into....any ideas for a general theme gift? Is this even making sense? lol...

I did a wine basket for my SIL last year - I added these personalized w/ their name - they were a big hit...

A travel theme if someone's going on an upcoming trip?
A coffee and dessert theme? Or tea and dessert theme?

Also - For someone who likes to cook - A baking theme with cookbooks, good olive oil, spices, etc.

a Movie Night theme? You can get a basket full of popcorn and candy and stick a blockbuster gift card in there.. for a nice relaxing night in...

If they like coffee you can do a coffee themed baket with coffe, coffee press, cups and maybe some biscotti. You can also do the same with tea.

Italian dinner themed - cookbook, pasta, gourmet sauce, spagetti scooper & measuring thing, etc. throw it in a big pasta serving bowl or collander.
Game night -- one or two board games, cards, uno, suduko or crossword book.
Book Basket -- some new best sellers or preferred topics, book lights, bookmarks, gc to barnes & noble or similar.
Bath/Massage basket -- monogrammed towels or robe with those spa like slippers, massage for couples book, massage oils, aromatherapy candles

Great idea and for coasters, you can go to shutterfly, snapfish etc, get coasters personalized with a picture, $19.99.

I love to give theme gifts!
How about a movie gift - big bucket of microwave popcorn, with GC to blockbuster inside, and also put in some boxes of candy and snacks
Or coffee theme - a Big decorative mug w/ Starbucks GC in it, maybe a book on crossword puzzles (or something cute to do while drinking the coffee) then like a variety pack of flavored coffees
I was also thinking Wine and Cheese! I love that!

i like this one. you could also include a gift certificate to a movie theater near their house if they like to go out.
And a coupon for a night of babysitting if they have kids (and you would actually want to babysit them!)

You could also do a Breakfast in Bed - get a tray, 2 mugs, a few individual coffee bags (they have some in the dollar section in target), gourmet pancake mix and syrup, etc.
