I know who Tim Burton is but who is she? 
I have to admit for all of their strangeness, the child looks dressed normally and seems clean. Of course the picture is taken from a distance.
Another thought, at least they are spending time with their son. I like to see "stars" spend time with their children. It makes them seem more "normal". Not that there's such a thing!!

She's in most of his movies - she was the mother in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, she was in Big Fish and Planet of the Apes.
They're a little eccentric, but they don't always look that crazy. I think they're sweet.
