The splinter post reminded me of something my mom used to do....

Did anyone elses mother/father put a slice of raw bacon on the splinter to draw it out ??????

I guess this was an old time remedy, but I remember my mother telling me something about the bacon fat or something drawing the splinter out to make it easier to pull...I would never ! All I can remember as a child is running away from my mother because she would have a tweezer and a sewing needle to pull it out...My DS had one when he was younger and lucklily we got it out while he was sleeping !
