The Little Gym
Anyone take their DC to the little gym and do you recommend it? I took my DS to a birthday party at a gymboree this past weekend and he LOVED it. I figure it would be good for him to get him enrolled in a class like this. The only problem is, the gymboree locations are kinda out of the way from where I live, and I also prefer Sunday mornings, since I WFT and Saturdays are kinda hectic for me. I found there is a place called The Little Gym that offers a class for his age group on Sunday mornings about a 8 min drive from me. Just wanted to see if it was similar to a gymboree type place. I put in a request to try a free class, but was also wondering how much it costs usually per month?
Thanks!!

Re: The Little Gym
I took DS to the little gym. I live in NJ and didn't start taking him until he was almost 2. He liked it and it was a great place to get out some energy! The teachers were great, too! It's a little pricey though... I believe it worked out to about $25 per class.... It was around $750 or so to go once a week from like early October until the end of June. Then they also had a summer session you could sign up for. dS is 3 now and I found a gymnastics place near me that does an hour of open play ( no lesson/ teacher) for $8 a kid... Way cheaper and he likes the less structure better.

The Little Gym
DD loves the Little Gym. We've been there, My Gym and Gymboree. IMO they're all pretty much the same. I'm sure they vary based on location, but the basic concept is the same.

Re: The Little Gym
We love the Little Gym. It's different than Gymboree, which we've also been to. IMO, the Little Gym is more about skills, gymnastics and such and Gymboree is more of singing songs and story-telling and playing. Maybe it was just the locations by us, but I feel that my DS gets more out of the Little Gym.

Re: The Little Gym
I liked the little gym but when DD started to really crawl and walk I felt like we weren't participating in the class and I was just chasing her around. Maybe when she's older we will do it again.
