"The Last Unicorn" Anyone ever read the book or see the movie?
I came across a pic from The Last Unicorn animated movie online. It's been so long since I've seen it, but I LOVE that movie and loved the book, too.
I asked a bunch of people at work if they remember seeing it and no one has. SO I was wondering if anyone else remembers this movie? I still get chills when I hear the theme song....
Well, news is, they are working on making a LIVE ACTION movie from the book, and the same author wrote the screenplay!
I have been waiting YEARS for them to make a Last Unicorn live action film! They seem to be having problems with developing the movie due to funding and disagreements with fans....seems the unicorn herself has been drawn to look like a horse with a horn, but in the book, it specifically says the Unicorn looks nothing like a horned horse, but more like a deer.
PS: it seems that Peter S. Beagle, the author of the book AND the author of the screenplay for the animated movie has not received a DIME for the sales of the VHS tapes and DVD sales, as well as any other Last Unicorn Merchandise as promised. He is trying to fight to get compensated for his work.

I LOVE this movie...I own the VHS and showed it to my 5th graders and they really liked it (even though it was outdated).

I knew I wasn't the only one who loved that movie. I still have the vhs my mom taped for me when i was like 6. It got so old I ended up buying a new one just incase it stops working one day!

I love that movie- I must have seen it a thousand times.
I actually tivo'd it about 2 weeks ago and have been watching it slowly when I have time. I just passed the part with the harpie.

That was one of my fav movies and still is i have it on VHS do they have it on DVD?? i whould go to see it if the made a live action movie actually we should all go out together lol movie night  HAve you guys also see laybrinth (david bowie A young jen garner) that wa awesome too it was at walmart for 5 bucks cant beat that
