The hits keep on coming...
Update: Heard from my ILs. They had a service for DH's uncle and he was cremated.  They will be having a service for him on LI, but I have no info as to when that will be yet, so I don't think it will be tomorrow. I'll post once I have a reservation someplace...
My MIL just called. DH's uncle died.  He hadn't been doing well for a while. He had Parkinson's and had been in a home for years. We were all preparing ourselves for this, but it still hurts. 
The hits just keep on coming this week... what a way to end a year. Please say a prayer for my DH, his aunt, and our family- I remember his uncle before the Parkinson's really set in and he was such a bright, intelligent and wonderful person. RIP Uncle Ed.  
I will keep you updated about the GTG. They live up in Saratoga Springs but used to live on LI so I have no clue about any funeral arrangements as of yet.
