The first time your child got the flu shot...
Did they have to get two shots a month apart from each other?
Derek got the shot a month ago, and is due back today to get the other part. My friend said that her daughter (who was 8 months old) only got it once.

Yes, according to my ped, the first time you get the flu shot you have to get the booster at least 4 weeks from the first.

Yes, but it ended up being about 6 weeks apart because he had a fever the night before the appointment for the second shot and we had to reschedule.

We had to get it twice. I thought it was just my dr, but my friend in CT had to do the same thing.

my ped said b/c of her age (Kaydyn is 10 months) and b/c it was her first time that it would be split up into two doses. She goes back in a couple of weeks for the 2nd one.
