The concept of "no" and infants
When did you start introducing the concept of "NO"?
DS is only 6 months and while I understand that "NO" means nothing to him, DH and I started to introducing to the concept.
For example, this morning he tried to grasp my eye. I kept removing his hand. That went on for a couple of minutes. I kept telling him "no". Then he actually caressed my face with his hand. Which we have showned him to do with the word "gentle". Same with pulling hair. We remove his hand and say "gentle".
What are your "techniques" to introduce "no" and when do they actually understand "no"?

This is exactly what we've started with DD, who's also 6 months. She doesn't 'get it' yet, but I feel that this is at least introducing her to the concept...we do it when she does similar things, grabbing faces/hair, etc. We also say "be nice" or "gentle".

I began using no at 6-7 months
my dd loves to pull my hair and scratch my face so I gentle remove her hand from my hair / face and say "no"...she will usually just look at me but lately, when I say no, she cries.....
She will look at me, pout out her bottom lip and on come the water works.....I always feel bad but she needs to learn that pulling hair and hurting me is not nice

I've been trying to teach "No" since DS was about the same age, using the same technique, but it's a struggle. He knows what no means but he just looks at me while he continues to do whatever he is doing. I've tried tapping him on the hand but he laughs. We're in for trouble!

my dd used to laugh and now she cries 
if she is touching something that she is not supposed to be touching, I will say no and shake my head....she looks right at me and shakes her head back
sometimes, she will craw away from said item, sometimes she will cry and sit there staring at said item
she is a real pip
