The Americans

I watched this show in the beginning and then fell out of it. I picked it back up this season. I could gather from the re-cap what's going on, but can someone give me a recap of last season? Are they back together, or were they forced back together from their bosses? What happened with the FBI agent and the Russian girl? I guess the next generation is going to be recruited and they are against it?

OK-- SEASON 2 SPOILERS

They got back together after Elizabeth was almost killed at the end of Season 1.

Last season they were working with old friends of theirs who also had kids & they family except for the oldest boy were killed & they spent a lot of time trying to figure out what happens but it turned out the boy did it b/c he was being recruited & wanted to join, bu this parents were against it.

Their handler told them that this is the new plan & Paige is next, but Philip is against it. Elizabeth tells Philip one things & their bosses another, so we don't really know who she is playing.

Stan was supposed to steal some computer code for the Russians in exchange for Nina's freedom, but at the last minute he doesn't turn it over to them & Nina is supposed to return to Moscow to stand trial for treason, but we don't know if that really happened.

Thank you so much! I thought I saw a coming attraction where the FBI neighbor found out they were Russian spys, but I guess not.
