Thanks for all the...
 a couple of weeks ago. I posted about my AFP test being positive and a higher risk for Spina Bifida, nuro tube defects. I chose not to do the amnio right away and waited for my 19 week scan ~ well my baby was soo cooperative and showing his/her spine and head/brain that they got some really great pictures and all looks good right now. They saw heart, kidneys etc and all looked good. We of course know the test is not 100% but there was no visible hole in his/her spine. I felt a really big weight lifted off my shoulders. I felt really great after today's sono. I get a sono again in another 2 weeks because the baby was not in position for his belly (umbilical cord check) and face.

I'm so glad everything worked out. I had a similar experience and declined to do an amnio after the Level II showed no issues.
