Maybe they are saying that their child is going to make American Great Again and it has nothing to do with supporting Trump and is actually anti trump. That was my first thought. Regardless, it's not your child so it is really none of your concern.

I think regardless of political affiliation this is really odd. I'm trying to picture if someone put their newborn baby in a Obama Hope onsie, and I think I'd have the same reaction. Unless it's just trying to capture the current events during the year the kid was born. Like maybe they're picking a few major events of the year and shooting photos with those themes. If it's some kind of higher concept, then maybe I get it. If it's just that your cousin supports Trump, it's kind of odd to bring a baby into that and memorialize it.

I think it’s funny that a MAGA person is asking where to find an American flag. :::snort:::
I wouldn’t react to them at all if I were in your shoes. It’s not your place and it will just cause a whole lot of drama unnecessarily.
As for the photographer, it’s their discretion if they don’t want to shoot pics like that. If they don’t want their name associated, that’s perfectly reasonable!

I don't know, I see newborn photos all the time where the baby is wearing a sports jersey of a team the parents like. I never say, wow, what if that baby grows up to be a Yankee fan and they have them in that awful Mets jersey, kwim?
Newborn photos are often done with things the parents like or support.
Personally I wouldn't care. Everyone has their own political views, religious beliefs, things they support. I just do me.

BARF literally no one could ignore the Trump references unless they live under a rock. I can't imagine anyone aside from you NOT seeing the connection.

yea it's a family member. Keep in mind i'm sharing here, but would never say to them. I just replied "I don't have a flag, sorry"

yes this is really what I was trying to get at. It's not disturbing to me who they are affiliated with, it's disturbing that they would advertise it on their newborn baby lol... this particular person posts alot of stuff on social media as well, so I think her intention is what I am thinking it is

It's none of ANYONE'S business. Not you personally and not anyone they show the pics to online.
They are not endangering their baby.
They are expressing their political beliefs.
So what. If you don't agree with it, fine. It's not up to you or anyone else to decide how they dress their baby or who they support politically.
