Thank you ladies for beta advice
Just wanted to thank all of you for your encouraging words as I stressed about my first beta! My 2nd beta came back & more than doubled from last time! Praying and hoping that this is it for us and just wanted to thank you again!

Hoping that all of you ladies are doing ok after this storm.  Well due to the storm I wasn't able to get my beta done till today at 12dp5dt and the # came back in 200s. While I was initially so happy it was positive it then it set in that since this was about 3 days later then I was supposed to have a beta this doesn't look like such a great #. I've been looking all over the internet but a lot of betas I'm finding are for multiples and we only transferred 1. I would be really grateful for some honest opinions on this I want to go into my next beta on Friday realistically. TIA!

Isn't the most important thing that the Beta doubles? I haven't had a positive Beta, but I thought that was what matters.

it doesn't matter what your beta # is as long as it doubles. because of the storm you mightnot be able to have your beta tested every 48 hours, so i'm sure your Dr. will allow for this once you finally do get retested and they will tell you if the number looks good or not.
Please don't google what a good beta number is, the number itself doesn't matter. when i first had my beta tested, my beta was only a 25, your already at 258! Good Luck!

Like the others said, you can't go by the actual number. The only thing that's important is that it doubles in about 48 hours.
Plus, your number isn't really low. It sounds pretty good to me.

Beta #1 -need opinions
Your beta is PERFECT for 17DPO. Go to betabase.info and click on single pregnancies and you will see that the average beta for successful pregnancies for 17DPO is 298. Click on the link and you will see that there are hundreds of betas less than that and much less than yours that are successful. Look at the doubling. You are fine though.

i also wanted to say mine never actually doubled..was always off..never had dark hpt's
try not to stress! u r off to a great start!
