Thank you gift help

My neighbor made me an entire spread of desserts for my baby shower and refused to take any payment (pics in album!). She went above and beyond my wildest dreams of what I could have wanted (I didnt ask her for it, she offered).

I was thinking of an amex gift card for $100 but I didnt know if you guys had any other suggestions. She loves to bake (she's a professional pastry chef) but I dont want to give her a card to a store she may not shop at.

Any other ideas?
TIA

Do you know where she buys her baking supplies? Maybe a GC for something along those lines.

you cant go wrong with an amex/visa giftcard.

there are a few baking places out there (i received a gift card to king arthur flour) but she seems really talented and probably has all the supplies she needs so i would just stick with something basic so she can spend the money how she pleases.

Honestly, IMO, if she offered to do this without you asking, I would just take it as a gift from her. I don't think $100 gift card is necessary. I would just get her a really nice card to thank her, and maybe a small token gift. Did she attend your shower, or are you not that close? If not, and you feel compelled to get something, who doesn't like a Amex gift card - it is basically cash!

I agree with this! Since she offered, I would accept it as a gift and write her a really heartfelt thank you note... plus something small. I'd maybe send a thank you note with a small floral arrangement.
