TGIF (TV)

We were having this conversation last night. Do you remember which shows were on? We remember Full House, Step by Step, Family Matters. What was the other one???

Re: TGIF (TV)

i used to loveeee TGIF!

"The block of predominantly family-friendly situation comedies was inaugurated with the following sequence of shows in the 1988-89 season: Perfect Strangers, Full House, Mr. Belvedere, and Just the Ten of Us, and the first hosts were Larry Appleton, Mark Linn-Baker, and Balki Bartokomous, Bronson Pinchot. The actual debut of the TGIF branding took place at the start of the 1990-91 season. In subsequent years, Perfect Strangers spin-off, Family Matters, and the Brady Bunch-inspired Step by Step joined the line-up."

Baby Talk was one of the shows and I think a show called Going Places was on for 1 season. When 20/20 started our fun was over and it was time for bed.

Re: TGIF (TV)

Ohh god how I loved TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!

We would order pizza from the ONLY place that delivered back then. Sometimes it would take forever for it to come! We would watch full house as we ate it and then would move into the living room! The memories!!!!!!!!!

On a sidenote..I loved Saturday nights. My mom would make hamburgers, my gram would come over to watch the only 2 shows she enjoyed...Golden Girls and Empty Nest. After Empty Nest, my mom and gram would have tea and talk while me and my sister brushed each others hair. What I wouldnt give to be little again..or at the very least, have my gram back. Chat Icon
