Terrier owners: "Hand-Stripping" your dog's coat?
Does anyone here who has a terrier know of a really good professional groomer that does "hand stripping" of terrier's coats? Hand-stripping prevents the loss of coat color in a terrier that happens with regular clipping, which removes the color-tipped wire hairs and leaves the softer, lighter undercoat showing. SInce we are getting a black and silver mini schnauzer, I would like to have her hand-stripped so her black color doesn't fade to gray over time. I am having no luck finding a professional dog groomer who does this....

Hmm I don't know of any, but if you can go to the AKC website they usually have local contacts for all breeds/groups. Maybe one of the breeders can give you a good recommendation?
