Telling my in-laws....
next weekend. They've always given us guff about every major life decision we've ever made. I'm looking for some clever quipps to throw my MIL if she dares breathe a negative word..
They always think we're rash in our decisions (ALL our decisions, from getting married, to buying a condo out of state, to the jobs we've chosen). It's not for them to decide but they always have SOMETHING to say.
I refuse to get stressed about the impending announcement but I want to go in prepared.. Any ideas?

Re: Telling my in-laws....
You can tell her next time you decide to BD with your hubby that may or may not create a human being to love, that you will make sure to call her and ask her permission. (being sarcastic of course)
Or you can tell her that she shouldn't make any comments about her grandchild that she wouldn't have a problem saying directly to the child when it gets older.
Or, you can get personal with her, and ask her, well, when you made your son, did you ask anyone else's permission?

He's close with his dad, but not his mom. They're divorced.. MIL is insane. There's no excuse for her. She wore a white gown to our wedding- with a train! (See pic in album) She's no shining example of perfection. Crazy situation.
