Tell me about Long Beach Island NJ

thinking of going with the kids(10 & 3) and DH.
What is there to do?
Where to stay?

it's a great town... there's an area with a bunch of shops, a small arcade/amusement park, the beach obviously, lots of restaurants, places to rent bikes, etc.

as for where you should stay... it depends on what you want. would you rather be closer to the shops and busier area or would you rather be in a quieter area a short drive away from the busier area? if you want to be closer to everything stay in beach haven. if you want to be in a quieter area stay in harvey cedars or loveladies.

Love LBI. I went there growing up until I started college. There is a ton to do. There is plenty of shopping, mini golf, waterslide/park, amusement park/arcade and even a childrens theater (at least the last time I was there)

As far as where to stay, If you are staying for just a few days there are inns, B&Bs and motels, If you are staying longer you can rent a house. If you are questions once you start to narrow down places I might be able to help. We always stayed in Beach Haven and I'd suggest beign closer to the beach so you don;t have to lug everything to far.

I have been there a few times with my Ex BF in college. It's awesome. Very family oriented. Quiet. Just beautiful.

I have no idea where to stay but, you will love it.

We went about 10 years ago, stayed at the SeaShell (its a motel). It was right on the beach which was nice. It definitely catered to the 20 something crowd at the time. The beach water is soooo clean, it is really a great beach.
