We've been there twice with our DD, and I think 3 times without. We stayed one when DD was 14 months old at the Westin and I didn't really love it.
A few months ago we stayed at the Marriott, which was alot better and nicer IMO. Aruba is great with kids - most restaurants are kid friendly and had kids meals. Not sure how old your DC is.
My SIL just went with her family and her DD's who are older and they did a jeep tour and liked it.
